Hello world!

Hello!

Welcome to my blog-I’m very excited to begin this journey of blogging. I’m the old fashioned sort and tend to shy away from these things. It takes up too much time, I don’t know what to write-but the biggest reason would be-why should I blog? I mean, I write, right?

Because, and I hear this more and more, it’s NOT enough to just write an article or a middle-grade novel. Hmmm. (she ponders)

My goal of this blog is to use it as another tool in the creative process. As Laurie Halse Anderson once said, “If you’re not writing you should be blogging or journal writing.”

I always have kept a journal-okay. But on-line. Whoa! Not sure I’m ready for this. My latest muse is conscience-writer-meditation (I’m stretching here, so bear with me;D) When I feel ‘stuck’ with character development, or a problem with plot-I breathe-I let the answer come to me. Sometimes that ‘strange external force’ comes through for me & I feel blessed beyond words on a page-but sometimes the answer doesn’t come-and that’s okay. The time was not right. I get this. I think we all get this. That’s why this writing thing is so awesome my friends. Speak to your muse, your genius-sometimes we need to lean on someone else.

Keep Writing!
